Nash Point Coastal Views

Travel to Nash Point near Marcross for a deliberately modest coastal outing. Views of the lighthouse buildings and the open coast can be the whole purpose of the stop; choose a short walk within your group’s ability and turn back while conditions remain comfortable. Treat it as a separate rural journey from Llantwit Major, rather than another town-centre sight.

Before you go

Visit the Vale states that the lighthouse is no longer open to the general public. Plan for exterior views, not a tower climb or demonstration.

Tickets and booking: No admission ticket is needed for a walk on the public coastal route; parking may cost extra. Lighthouse interiors are not a general visitor attraction.
Access and getting around: Clifftop paths are exposed and can be uneven or muddy. Parking arrangements and path conditions should be checked locally. No step-free lighthouse tour or continuous accessible coast route is promised.

Visiting with children: Keep children and dogs close on clifftop paths, stay well away from edges and cliff bases, and shorten or abandon the walk in poor conditions. This is not a playground stop.
