Independent cinema and live arts / LUDLOW
Ludlow Assembly Rooms
The Assembly Rooms gives Ludlow an indoor evening as well as a daytime arts option, with cinema, music, theatre and talks in a historic building on the market square. Choose the performance or screening that interests you and shape the rest of the day around it. The ground-floor café can make a meal break convenient, but food and event admission are separate arrangements.

Book the exact screening or show and check its entrance. Some events in Oscars use the Mill Street alley rather than the main Castle Square entrance.
The practical details
- Where to find it
- Main entrance faces the market square; some Oscars events use the Mill Street entrance.
Directions and arrival information ↗ - Tickets and booking
- Tickets are normally non-refundable unless the event is cancelled; ask about any exchange. The independent cinema’s seating is generally unreserved, but wheelchair spaces need arranging. Pre-show meals at Bill’s Kitchen are separately booked and offered on selected days.
- Access and getting around
- Wheelchair entry is through the main entrance, with a lift serving all five floors and accessible toilets. Reserve an auditorium wheelchair place through the box office. Carers accompanying wheelchair users can request a complimentary ticket; check the relevant event’s arrangements.
Official access information ↗ - Visiting with children
- Choose the film certificate or show’s age guidance. Captioned, relaxed and chilled events are specifically labelled, not standard for every performance. Contact the box office about seating or other arrangements for your family before booking.
Practical information checked 14 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Make it part of your day
Allow a film or show plus arrival time for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
