Ludlow Museum at the Buttercross
In the upper rooms of the Buttercross, Ludlow’s small museum connects the town with the landscape beneath it. Fossils, archaeological finds and objects from local life make a compact visit, while the windows put the surrounding streets back into the story. Interactive and handling areas make this more than a room of objects to look at silently.
Ordinary opening is Friday, Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays. Do not build a weekday rainy-day plan around the museum without checking the date.

- Tickets cover a small museum visit; group access outside normal opening can be arranged in advance. The Christmas closure runs from Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day. Changing exhibitions are checked separately rather than promised on every visit.
- Access and getting around
- A ramp behind the Buttercross leads to the lift beneath the building; stairs enter from Church Street. The operator confirms accessible toilets and pushchair access. Watch its arrival video if you need to locate the lift before visiting.

- Under-16s enter free, while adults pay. The museum has child-friendly activities, a craft area and handling opportunities, making a useful short indoor stop between a meal and another visit.
