MILNGAVIE GUIDE Independent ideas for your day out

A straightforward play and green-space break / MILNGAVIE

Lennox Park

Use Lennox Park for play, open space and a small pause away from the town’s shops. It is an everyday public park rather than a major excursion, which makes it useful with children or between a gallery visit and the journey home. Keep the visit as short or relaxed as the day needs.

Before you go

This is a handy town park stop; do not add a long transfer or expect a full visitor attraction with staffed facilities.

The practical details

Where to find it
Lennox Park, near Keystone Avenue and Milngavie Road, Milngavie
Directions and arrival information ↗
Tickets and booking
Ordinary public park use is free. Organised activities may have separate arrangements. Follow current signs and use the park as a flexible addition rather than depending on an event or staffed service.
Access and getting around
Public paths connect the park and its play and sports areas. Check the entrance and surface that suit your group; wet ground and riverside sections need care. Town facilities and the station are nearby, but not every route through the park is equivalent.
Official access information ↗
Visiting with children
Play equipment, a sandy play area and a small skate area provide different choices. Supervise around the river and moving bikes or skate users, and plan food and toilets in town.

Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.

Make it part of your day

Allow 30–60 minutes for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
