Mold Museum

Use the museum inside the library to put Mold’s streets into context, from Bronze Age finds to the people who shaped the town. The replica of the Mold Gold Cape gives a clear starting point for looking closely, while Daniel Owen’s story connects with the statue and names outside. This is a compact local-history visit to combine with the town, not an all-day collection. The photograph shows the inscription on the nearby Daniel Owen monument, not the museum building or interior.

Tickets and booking: Ordinary museum admission is free. Gwella lists library opening Monday–Saturday, with a 13:00 Saturday close and Sunday closed; check museum access and any temporary changes directly. Exhibition content can change.
Access and getting around: The museum is within the library building. Contact Gwella’s Mold Library team to confirm the route to the displays, lift availability and any specific toilet or sensory requirements before travelling; do not assume every display area has identical access.
