An indoor tropical-house visit / MOTHERWELL
Amazonia at M&D’s
Explore a temperature-controlled tropical house with a range of animals, including a nocturnal area. Amazonia is a specific paid indoor attraction within M&D’s, so you can plan it separately from outdoor rides or a broader theme-park day. Check the current visitor programme and take time to look, with any animal-handling session treated as an optional extra subject to availability.

The practical details
- Where to find it
- M&D’s, Strathclyde Country Park, Motherwell
Directions and arrival information - Tickets and booking
- Book or check the current admission arrangements, opening calendar and last-entry time. Handling sessions cost extra and are not guaranteed by basic entry; outdoor rides have separate schedules and tickets.
- Access and getting around
- The operator’s disability policy lists Amazonia as wheelchair accessible. Contact the team for specific seating, sensory or assistance needs and check any concession documentation.
Official access information - Visiting with children
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult. A warm, enclosed environment and the darker nocturnal area may suit some children more than others; take the visit at their pace.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Make it part of your day
Allow 1-1.5 hours for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
