A town-history half-day →
Give the Heritage Centre time and keep the rest of the visit relaxed.
Local stories and a view over the town / MOTHERWELL
Start near the town centre with changing galleries and the Climb Thru Time experience, which gives a playful route into Motherwell’s past. The viewing tower adds a different perspective on the surrounding town, while the outdoor play area provides a break when the weather suits. This is a useful compact museum visit rather than a reason to hurry between lots of separate exhibits across town.

Avoid arriving just as the museum closes for its short lunch break. Check the current exhibition before visiting.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–1.5 hours for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
