Aberdulais Tinworks and Waterfall
See how a waterfall helped drive successive industries at Aberdulais, where the remains of the tinworks put engineering beside the gorge. The interest is in the relationship between water, landscape and work, with a manageable site to explore on an advertised open day. The large waterwheel is currently inactive for specialist assessment and restoration, so do not expect a working demonstration.
Check the exact date on the National Trust calendar: this is a selected-opening-day visit, not a waterfall you can always enter. Flow varies with recent weather, and the bookshop depends on volunteers.

- Access and getting around
- The Trust lists level routes, accessible toilets, designated Blue Badge spaces and wheelchairs available to borrow or hire. Some tours may reach stair-only areas, so check the actual route. Parking is across the road with a pedestrian crossing; wet surfaces still need care.
