NEATH GUIDE Independent ideas for your day out

Lakeside paths, outdoor play and a new visitor centre / NEATH

Gnoll Country Park

Make Gnoll the main outing when you want room to walk, play and pause around the estate’s ponds and woodland. Choose an accessible family route or a longer trail, leaving time for food rather than trying to cover every historical feature. The new visitor centre adds useful facilities, while Treetops indoor play is a separate paid option for younger children.

Before you go

Free park entry does not include parking or soft play. The current operator confirms Treetops is open, but its session arrangements and capacity need checking before making it your wet-weather plan.

The practical details

Where to find it
Gnoll Estate, Fairyland, Neath SA11 3BS
Directions and arrival information ↗
Tickets and booking
Ordinary park exploration is free, with paid parking and separate charges for indoor play or events. Check current park and visitor-centre closing times, particularly around seasonal changes. Treetops currently advertises limited-capacity sessions with booking arrangements subject to change.
Access and getting around
The visitor centre has level entrances, a passenger lift, accessible toilets and a Changing Places facility. The operator identifies the Family Trail as accessible; other trails have mixed terrain. Choose a route deliberately rather than assuming every cascade or woodland path suits wheels.
Official access information ↗
Visiting with children
Outdoor playgrounds and a short walk can fill the visit. Treetops is paid, supervised by accompanying adults and limited to children up to 140cm, approximately under eleven. Check sessions and availability, bring socks, and keep children close beside water.

Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.

Make it part of your day

Allow 2–4 hours for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
