Great North Museum: Hancock

A replica T. rex skeleton, natural history and archaeology give this museum several possible starting points. Follow a child’s dinosaur interest, concentrate on ancient Egypt, or use the regional material to put the North East into context. Choosing two or three galleries makes a more satisfying visit than racing between every subject.
