Four Western Art galleries are closed for work until mid-October 2026 according to the museum’s current notice. Check the latest closures before travelling for a particular painting; general collections and major exhibitions have different admission arrangements.

Tickets and booking: General collections are free; major exhibitions normally require paid tickets. Check the current admission page for busy-day arrangements and book a particular exhibition ahead.
Access and getting around: The museum describes a level entrance route, lifts to all floors and accessible toilets. Borrowable wheelchairs and folding stools are available; contact staff if equipment is essential.
