Explore the Bodleian’s changing public exhibitions on the ground floor of the Weston Library. This is a manageable way to engage with books and collections without joining a library tour, with Blackwell Hall and a café close by for a pause.
Read the current exhibition description first and choose a display that interests you. Admission to these public galleries does not include the historic library reading rooms; book an official tour separately if those are your priority.

- The ground-floor exhibitions are free with no ticket required. Check gallery and Blackwell Hall closures for events, and any separate booking requirements for talks or workshops.
- Access and getting around
- The Broad Street entrance has ramp access and public exhibitions are on the ground floor. Very large double buggies cannot enter the exhibition galleries, and busy periods may limit buggy numbers.

- Keep a visit with younger children short and choose a few items to discuss. The café is a separate food purchase; eating and drinking are not allowed in the exhibition galleries.
