Pontymoile Canal Basin

Start at Pontymoile Basin for an out-and-back walk along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. The basin and waterside setting offer a different pace from the town, with an easy opportunity to turn around when you have had enough. Make the return distance part of the plan rather than following the towpath indefinitely.
