Harbour views and Porthcawl’s story →
A compact town day on a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday museum opening.
A short seafront walk with maritime context / PORTHCAWL
Follow a manageable section of the promenade towards the harbour for a first feel of Porthcawl. The Jennings Building and working waterfront give the walk a little history alongside the sea views, with plenty of reasons to pause rather than march from end to end. Keep the route flexible around weather and any regeneration works.

Stay well back from exposed edges in rough conditions. The Town Beach is not a swimming beach, and a photograph of waves breaking over harbour structures is not an invitation to approach them.
