Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

Ships and galleries make this a substantial day of naval history beside Portsmouth Harbour. Choose between the Tudor world of the Mary Rose, the decks of HMS Victory and the Victorian engineering of HMS Warrior, rather than trying to see every attraction. The preserved vessels offer very different experiences from the modern museum galleries.

Check which attractions your ticket covers before booking. HMS Victory is undergoing conservation, so confirm the available route if seeing a particular deck or using wheelchair access is essential.

Tickets and booking: Compare current ticket options and inclusions on the official site. Gosport attractions require separate travel; do not add them casually to a full Portsmouth day.
Access and getting around: The Mary Rose Museum has lifts and wheelchair access; historic ships have narrower routes, stairs and low headroom. Victory access can change during conservation. Read the attraction-by-attraction guide before choosing a ticket.

Visiting with children: Plan around one ship and one gallery, with a proper break. Pushchairs cannot go aboard Victory. Low light and enclosed ship interiors may not suit every child.
