RIPON GUIDE Independent ideas for your day out

Gardens & outdoor breaks / RIPON

Ripon Spa Gardens

Take a break among flowerbeds, mature planting and the Victorian bandstand, with woodcarvings linked to the city’s Lewis Carroll associations. The gardens offer a simple contrast to the museum interiors and a place to slow down near the centre. Seasonal concerts and games are extras to check, not the reason every visit will work.

Before you go

Use the Park Street approach for a straightforward garden stop, and check your onward route before following the city trail: its Skellbank exit involves stairs.
