Rosslyn Chapel
Take time to study the chapel’s carved details instead of treating it only as a film location. A visitor slot includes a guide’s talk, giving context to the craftsmanship and stories around the building. It is still a place of worship, so a thoughtful, unhurried visit works better than a quick photography stop. The grounds and visitor centre can add time around your allocated chapel slot.
Before you go
Book a 90-minute slot and arrive early enough to use it properly. Sunday visitor sessions begin later because of worship.

- Advance tickets secure a specified slot. Both chapel and grounds require admission; do not assume heritage memberships are accepted. Interior photography is not allowed and only assistance dogs enter the site.
- Access and getting around
- A ramp leads through a narrow entrance to the largely level main chapel; the Lady Chapel has a step and the Sacristy has 26 steep steps. Read the March 2026 access statement and ask about your needs.

- Children under 17 currently enter free, but include them correctly in the booking. Choose a few carvings to look for rather than expecting children to concentrate on every detail.
