Salisbury Cathedral
The spire gives Salisbury its skyline; inside, the long stone spaces and the Chapter House make a rewarding first introduction to the city. Build the visit around the cathedral floor and the surviving 1215 Magna Carta. A climb towards the spire is an optional guided experience with its own ticket and physical demands.

Check the visitor notices before choosing a time: sightseeing closes early on 17 and 19 September 2026. The Chapter House follows its own timetable, including a later Sunday opening.

- Tourist entry is ticketed; online advance tickets are cheaper. General admission includes the Chapter House and return visits under the published terms. Tower tours need separate advance booking and include cathedral admission that day, so compare before buying both.
- Access and getting around
- The cathedral floor, Chapter House, cloisters, restaurant, shop and toilets have wheelchair access. Borrowing a wheelchair is possible at the welcome desk, subject to availability. The tower has 332 steps, narrow spiral stairs and no lift; it is a separate access decision.

- Under-12s enter the ordinary cathedral visit free under current terms. Tower visitors must be at least seven and 1.2 metres tall; children aged 7–10 each need their own accompanying responsible adult. Read all tour conditions before booking.
