Craven Museum
Explore the landscape and lives of Craven through archaeological finds, local objects and changing displays inside Skipton Town Hall. A rare Shakespeare First Folio gives the collection an unexpected literary link. Its compact galleries offer a useful introduction to the wider area without taking a whole day away from the town.
Tuesday is the regular closure day. Make the museum the first fixed point of a free or wet-weather visit on another day, then leave time for the High Street and canal.

- Museum, gallery and visitor centre general admission is free. Normal opening is Wednesday–Monday 9.30am–4.30pm, closed Tuesdays. Check special dates and event arrangements before travelling; performance tickets are separate from museum entry.
- Access and getting around
- The Town Hall has level access, a lift to the first floor, hearing support, accessible toilets and a Changing Places facility. Ask about current sensory resources and relaxed sessions if useful; special sessions follow their own calendar.

- Borrow a family trail or sensory bag and choose a few displays together. Buggies can enter the building and a buggy park is available. Workshops may have separate booking arrangements.
