Aireville Park
Head west of the centre for open lawns, trees and a proper outdoor pause. Aireville’s play facilities give families a different kind of stop from castle rooms and museum displays, while a simple park walk or picnic works without bringing sports equipment. Keep it as the main outdoor choice if you want room to play rather than a woodland route.

- Ordinary park access is free; parking, the leisure centre and specialist activities are separate. The council has a 2026 games-area construction project, so check current works if that facility matters to your visit. Use daylight for an unfamiliar walk and follow any temporary diversions.

- Paths, sloping lawns and grassy areas offer different surfaces; wet ground can be muddy. Choose your entrance and route to suit mobility or pushchair needs, and check with Craven Leisure about current facilities rather than relying on every park entrance being step-free.
