Take a walk through the gardens beside the promenade, noticing the restored shelters and the different spaces around the lake. The park makes a useful outdoor break between town attractions, with a play area for families and places to pause. Optional leisure concessions are separate from enjoying the public gardens.

Southport Pier is currently closed. Enjoy the gardens and promenade without planning a walk along the pier or assuming old photographs show current access.
