A Stamford town day at your own pace →
Combine the stone streets with a small exhibition visit and an optional riverside finish.
Free exhibitions with separately ticketed performances / STAMFORD
Add a short look at the current exhibition to a walk through St Mary’s Street. The gallery brings contemporary art into a historic arts venue and offers a different subject from Stamford’s old buildings. A film, live show or workshop can turn it into a longer visit, but those are separate programme choices rather than part of free gallery entry.

Check the exhibition dates and gallery opening, not just the box-office hours. Changeovers can interrupt displays, and a programme entry may be at another venue in the district rather than in Stamford.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 30–60 minutes for the gallery for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
