The main park and the golf-course circuit have different surfaces and gradients. Stay on marked paths and keep off the golf playing area; water play is a summer feature.

Tickets and booking: The park is open year-round and ordinary recreation needs no admission ticket. Café purchases, organised activities and any bookable sports facilities are separate. Check local notices after bad weather and do not rely on summer water play outside its season.
Access and getting around: The council describes most park paths as finished surfaces suitable for all users, while the golf-course circuit includes informal and steeper sections. Inclusive swings and a wheelchair roundabout are listed. Choose the main recreation area and check individual equipment and toilet arrangements for your needs.

Visiting with children: There is room for a playground stop and a snack between indoor visits. Check which equipment is available, bring spare clothes if summer water play is operating, and supervise children around paths and sports areas. Wet grass can make a picnic less appealing; keep a café break as an alternative.
