Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum
The Smith puts everyday Stirling alongside its famous battles and monarchs. Explore the permanent Stirling Story, with local trades, objects and sporting history, then see which art exhibitions are showing. Its manageable scale makes it a useful first stop for a free day or a slower afternoon after the castle. Ailie’s Garden is an optional outdoor addition during museum hours.
The museum normally opens Wednesday–Sunday. Check this before making it your rainy-day anchor; the café closes earlier than the galleries.

- The museum lists wheelchair access, an accessible toilet, baby changing and seating throughout. Contact staff for detailed doorway or garden-route requirements. Visitor parking has a barrier; reception supplies the exit code.
