Swanage Pier
Walking out on Swanage Pier changes the view: the town spreads around the bay, boats move nearby and the old pier remains trace an earlier waterfront. Read some of the names along the decking and take time to look back towards the shore. It is a small paid outing that pairs well with the museum and lunch at the southern end of the centre.
Check closing time before planning a late stroll. Winter days are shorter, and summer evening opening depends on arrangements at the pier; sunset access is not guaranteed.

- Adults pay a strolling admission charge. Fishing, diving, boat trips and parking are separate; café and shop hours are seasonal. Pier parking is limited, first come and cannot be reserved.
- Access and getting around
- The main deck is the practical focus for wheelchair users; upper and lower levels should not be assumed accessible. Contact the Trust about current deck access and facilities. Pier access does not establish access to a departing boat.

- Children aged 5–14 stroll free when accompanied by a paying adult and are not admitted unaccompanied. Keep children with you on the decking and around working or watersports areas.
