Tenby Harbour
Watch the harbour change from floating boats to a patchwork of moorings and exposed sand as the tide falls. The pastel buildings, narrow approaches and working waterfront make this a natural starting point for understanding Tenby. A short look from the town above can be just as rewarding as going down to the harbour itself.
Choose a viewpoint before descending if climbing back would be difficult. Keep clear of working areas and boat boarding queues; harbour sands are not a dependable shortcut between different parts of town.

- There is no admission ticket for the public harbour viewpoints. Boat trips are separate purchases, and departures and landing arrangements depend on the operator and conditions. Follow local signs, working-area restrictions and temporary route changes.
- Access and getting around
- Town-to-harbour approaches vary and include slopes or steps. The National Park describes a paved ramp onto Harbour Sands, but that leads to sand rather than establishing a step-free circuit around the town. Check the approach for your needs.

- Keep children away from the water edge and operational equipment. Watching boats from a safe public viewpoint can be enough for a short stop. Do not rely on sand being exposed at your chosen time.
