Tenby RNLI Lifeboat Station
Look into Tenby’s modern all-weather lifeboat station from the public viewing gallery when it is open. The slipway building on Castle Hill makes the practical work of sea rescue visible in a town closely tied to the water. It is a short, worthwhile addition to a harbour outing, with the visit shaped by operational needs.
Check visitor opening before walking out to the station. This is an active rescue base: seeing the lifeboat or a launch is not guaranteed, and a public gallery visit does not include boarding the boat.

- General visitor entry is free, with donations welcome. Confirm opening with the station visitor contact, especially out of season. Operations can affect access. The adjacent older boathouse is not the modern public station recommended here.
- Access and getting around
- RNLI lists disabled access but gives limited route detail and states there is no public parking near the station. Contact the visitor team about the approach and gallery arrangements rather than assuming the whole headland route is step-free.
