Sirhowy Ironworks

Look at Sirhowy’s surviving industrial masonry to get a sense of the scale and processes behind the valley’s iron-making past. This is an outdoor archaeological site, not a working furnace demonstration or a staffed museum. A little background reading makes the arches and remains more meaningful, and a short visit can complement Tredegar’s central heritage.
