A valley-park half-day →
Let Parc Taf Bargoed be the main event, with a picnic and an optional short play break.
A traditional town park and an easy play break / TREHARRIS
Choose Treharris Park when you want a compact pause rather than another long valley walk. Its bandstand and established park setting give it a different character from Parc Taf Bargoed, while the playground makes it useful for families fitting a little outdoor time around another activity. Bring something to eat and allow the visit to stay simple.

The council lists a paddling pool among the facilities, but seasonal operation is not confirmed here. Plan around the park and playground, not a promised splash session.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 45–90 minutes for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
