Whitstable’s working harbour brings fishing boats, food stalls and small independent businesses together beside the water. Watch the activity from public quays, then use South Quay Shed for a food stop; the market and individual traders follow their own calendars.

Tickets and booking: No ticket for public quays. Check individual businesses and boat operators separately; summer activity does not establish winter opening.
Access and getting around: The official visitor guide describes flat, wide public routes and a ramp from Gorrell Tank. South Quay Shed has a lift to upper seating; public toilets and a Changing Places facility are on South Quay.

Visiting with children: Keep children close beside the working water and leave operational areas clear. Browsing is free; food and boat trips cost extra.
