Xplore! offers a practical indoor outing for curious families, with demonstrations and different ways to try ideas together. Check the available session and programme first, especially if a particular show or planetarium experience is the reason for coming. Tickets and booking: Pre-booking is recommended even though walk-in tickets may be available. Public opening is reduced Monday–Thursday around school visits, so confirm the exact session. Café opening does not guarantee access to the exhibits.
Access and getting around: The current access page lists level entrances, a lift to the first-floor planetarium, accessible toilets and Changing Places. Ear defenders and fidget bags can be borrowed; ask about the exhibits and specific seating or sensory requirements before booking.

Visiting with children: Work through a few experiments together and allow time for a break rather than trying every exhibit immediately. Check the show’s suitability and any planetarium ticket requirements. Adults remain responsible for their children.
