Old Aberdeen at a slower pace →
A separate northern outing focused on streets and architecture rather than multiple timed tickets.
Historic streets around King’s College and the Chanonry / ABERDEEN
Choose a public-street walk through Old Aberdeen, taking time for the architecture around King’s College, the High Street and the Chanonry. This is a distinct part of the city north of the central shopping streets, with a different scale and atmosphere. St Machar’s Cathedral can be an optional visit during its visitor hours, around services.

Choose a short section or the longer heritage route before starting. Looking at a university building from outside does not imply public access to every interior or courtyard.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–2 hours for a selected route for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
