WWT Arundel Wetland Centre
Give the wetland centre a relaxed half day for reedbeds, hides and views across the water. Follow a manageable route and stop to watch rather than rushing between every feature. Family play areas and spotter activities offer a change of focus; an optional guided electric boat trip explores another part of the wetland.
Hand feeding is currently suspended as an avian-influenza precaution. Follow the centre’s biosecurity notices and use the entrance footmats. Boat rides cost extra, have limited places and are booked at admissions on the day.

- The centre normally opens daily except Christmas Day, with shorter Christmas Eve hours. Advance online admission has different terms from same-day tickets. The separate boat safari lasts about 20 minutes and has a reduced winter schedule; high winds or ice can cancel it. Café service and free on-site parking are for the visit, with parking subject to space.
- Access and getting around
- Most paths are level and paved with benches, and boardwalks have raised edges or rails. The seasonal Waterside Walk has dirt and woodchip and is not recommended for wheelchairs. The Visitor Centre has accessible toilets and a Changing Places toilet. Loan manual wheelchairs are first come, first served. Boat access is limited to one suitable manual wheelchair per sailing; check dimensions with staff.

- Pick up a spotter sheet and alternate watching with a play stop. Under-threes enter free; older children need tickets. On the boat, children aged seven and under must wear the supplied life jacket. Do not promise a particular wild bird sighting or a feeding activity.
