Tickets and booking: Paid entry with member arrangements. Check date-specific admission and opening; there is no on-site parking. Town parking and refreshments are separate costs.
Access and getting around: English Heritage describes level access with ramps in places, grass and compacted gravel. The Round Tower and ditches involve stairs; there is no lift. Limited-mobility visitors can be set down at the main gate; ask which areas suit your needs.

Visiting with children: Give children a small task such as finding the different wall shapes. Supervise around uneven ground and drops; surviving masonry is not climbing equipment.
