Ulster Museum

Art, natural science and history share a building beside Botanic Gardens. The variety makes this a useful choice when companions have different interests: agree on one section each, rather than attempting every gallery. It is also a substantial indoor visit that does not require a general admission budget.

Tickets and booking
General entry normally needs no ticket. Special events and groups have separate booking arrangements; check the museum’s current programme.
Access and getting around
Most galleries have accessible routes; some stair lifts require staff assistance. Deep Time is unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Ask staff to plan an alternative route. A Changing Places facility is available.

Choose a manageable gallery visit and ask whether the Discovery Centres are available that day; groups and changeovers can affect them. The adjacent gardens offer a change of pace.
