Cathedral and River Usk half-day →
A quieter historic visit followed by a short promenade or meadow pause.
A River Usk stroll, meadow and play break / BRECON
Choose the promenade for a different waterside setting from the canal: the River Usk, open meadow and benches make it a useful place to pause. You can keep to a short surfaced section or add time in the meadow and play area. Let the conditions and your party decide the distance instead of following every path farther upriver.

The town-side approaches cross short, steep flood embankments. The route can flood after heavy rain, and the continuation beyond the meadow becomes rougher and narrower.
