BROADWAY GUIDE Independent ideas for your day out

A hilltop folly with a roof viewpoint / BROADWAY

Broadway Tower and park

Explore the tower’s story and climb to its roof platform for a wide view from the Cotswold escarpment when visibility allows. The surrounding paid park gives you room for a shorter walk and a picnic in designated areas. This is an outing above Broadway, not an attraction on the village High Street.

Before you go

Choose a day with useful visibility and check the latest opening before travelling up. Arrange the journey by road or plan a proper hill walk; do not treat the climb from the village as a quick level connection.

The practical details

Where to find it
Middle Hill, Broadway WR12 7LB
Directions and arrival information ↗
Tickets and booking
Buy the ticket that covers what you want: tower/grounds or grounds-only, with parking charged separately. Bunker tours are separately booked on selected dates. Winter hours are shorter and weather can alter opening. Check the car-park gate closing time before beginning a walk.
Access and getting around
The roof visit involves a climb inside the tower; discuss the route and your mobility needs before buying. Park paths and the exposed hilltop have different surfaces and gradients. The nuclear bunker is a separate ladder-access visit and is unsuitable for visitors with impaired mobility or sight.

Visiting with children
The tower’s multimedia guide has games and stories for children. Supervise on the climb and roof, and bring layers for the hilltop. Bunker tours are for ages ten and over, with under-sixteens accompanied by an adult; they are not a general young-child activity.
