BROADWAY GUIDE Independent ideas for your day out

Furniture design in the former workshops / BROADWAY

Gordon Russell Design Museum

Discover how Gordon Russell and his company connected craft, manufacturing and changing tastes in twentieth-century Britain. Furniture and design stories make the former workshop setting in Russell Square especially relevant. It is a focused indoor visit for anyone interested in how useful objects are made, with the High Street close by for a meal afterwards.

Before you go

Approach through the lanes from the High Street and allow time to look closely at a few designs. Check the current Sunday hours: they are shorter than the Tuesday-to-Saturday opening, and Mondays are closed.
