St Edmundsbury Cathedral
The cathedral offers a close look at a building shaped over centuries, including its much more recent tower. Come for the interior, a quiet pause or a first introduction to the town’s religious history; you do not need to book a specialist tour to make a worthwhile ordinary visit. Its position beside the Abbey Gardens keeps an indoor-and-outdoor half-day compact. Sightseeing must fit around worship, and a service is not an admission slot for exploring.
Allow time to look at the completed LEGO cathedral if it interests your group. Tower and library tours are separate experiences with their own booking and access conditions; do not assume they are part of a casual visit.
