Tickets and booking: General admission is free; check the current free ticket and paid exhibition options. Usually closed Mondays except bank holidays; confirm the calendar for your date.
Access and getting around: An accessible walkway bypasses the entrance steps. All galleries have wheelchair access, but some lifts require a Museum Assistant. There are uneven floor levels in parts of the natural history displays and seating throughout.

Visiting with children: Pushchairs are permitted and a buggy park is available. Use a short natural history visit for younger children; some galleries have low lighting, and the access guide helps prepare for this.
