The Welsh Parliament’s public building gives Cardiff Bay a purpose beyond the waterfront view. Explore the public spaces, learn about Welsh democracy on a tour or visit an exhibition. Watching parliamentary business is a different, scheduled experience: choose it deliberately rather than expecting a debate whenever the building opens.

Tickets and booking: General visits and tours are free. Confirm opening days, last entry and tour availability; live debates depend on the parliamentary calendar.
Access and getting around: The Senedd provides ramps, lifts and step-free access throughout the estate, wheelchair spaces in public galleries and a Changing Places facility. Contact staff before arrival for particular needs or accessible parking; allow for security screening.

Visiting with children: The operator offers a play area and a Senedd Explorer Trail designed for ages 5–7. Check current activities and prepare children for bag screening and metal detectors.
