- General entry is free; parking and some events cost extra. Check building notices and outward and return public transport before travelling. Picnics are permitted.
- Access and getting around
- Historic thresholds, uneven paths and steep ground on the castle side limit some routes. Ask for the wheelchair route map; accessible toilets and food outlets are described in the museum access guide.

- Prams and pushchairs can only enter Oakdale Institute, St Teilo’s Church and Gwalia Stores among the historic buildings. Bring a workable plan for visiting other interiors; scooters and wheeled toys are not allowed.
