Techniquest
Hands-on science experiments make Techniquest an active indoor visit at Cardiff Bay. Try the exhibits together, work out what changes when you adjust something, and leave space to repeat the favourites. Optional planetarium, theatre or lab sessions can give the visit a focus, but need their own availability and suitability checks.
Reserve the entry slot before travelling. The planetarium has only one wheelchair space per show; select the appropriate ticket early if needed.

- Timed entry has limited capacity. Compare family tickets and optional show costs, check the calendar and book ahead; opening patterns change between term time and local school holidays.
- Access and getting around
- There is level access across exhibition areas and lifts between floors, although not every exhibit suits every wheelchair user. Ear defenders and sensory bags are available subject to availability; ask about the Pod quiet space and relaxed sessions.

- Choose sessions by their age guidance. The exhibition can be noisy, particularly in school holidays; read the sensory information before booking rather than assuming any weekday will be quiet.
