Clydebank Museum and Town Hall galleries

Discover Clydebank’s local story at the museum in the basement of Clydebank Library on Dumbarton Road. If opening allows, continue separately to the Town Hall galleries on Hall Street for art, maritime pictures, ship models and examples from the Singer collection. These are two addresses with different schedules, combined here as a useful cultural visit rather than described as one building.

Tickets and booking: Ordinary admission is free. Contact the local-history service in advance for research assistance, as staff are not always available; gallery viewing does not include unrestricted archive handling.
Access and getting around: The council lists disabled access and public toilets at both venues. Ask about your particular route and support needs, especially access to the museum’s basement level.

Visiting with children: Choose objects or pictures around the family’s interests, such as ships or sewing machines. Keep the second building optional if children have had enough.
