Derry walls, Guildhall and the river →
A first-visit route that connects the historic centre with the Foyle without requiring every raised wall section.
Stained glass and civic history / DERRY
Step inside the Guildhall to look at its architecture, stained glass and displays about the city’s past. It is a useful indoor starting point near the river and walls, allowing you to connect the building with the streets outside. Ordinary visits and organised guided tours have different admission arrangements.

The Guildhall is an active civic and event venue. Check which rooms are available if a particular hall or feature is the main reason for your visit.
Practical information checked 16 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 30–60 minutes for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
