Woodland views and a whisky interest →
An adult day that keeps a hill walk separate from the booked distillery experience.
A woodland climb and seasonal tower view / FORRES
Walk through Cluny Hill’s woodland towards Nelson’s Tower for a different view of Forres and the Moray Firth. The volunteer-run tower opens seasonally, adding a spiral-stair climb and a high viewing platform when available. The outdoor walk remains a worthwhile choice without assuming the tower interior will be open.

Look for the Red Ensign indicating the tower is open, and keep the woodland walk as the alternative if it is closed.
Practical information checked 15 September 2026. Confirm anything essential to your visit with the venue.
Allow 1–2 hours for a woodland route and optional tower visit for the visit, plus travel and breaks. This is a suggested planning allowance; opening times, access and availability may affect your plans.
