Fowey Town Quay and waterfront

Fowey’s waterfront is a place to watch a working estuary rather than a single enclosed attraction. Town Quay gives an immediate view of boats and the steeply stacked houses across the river, while the surrounding streets provide independent shops and plenty of reasons to stop for a meal.

Tickets and booking: No entry ticket for public quays. Shops, food, ferries and cruises have separate charges and opening patterns. Private waterfront houses are not visitor interiors.
Access and getting around: The town has narrow streets, inclines, steps and sections without pavements. The approach from Caffa Mill has some inclines but avoids the steeper descent from the Main car park. The local visitor guide lists an accessible toilet at Town Quay.

Visiting with children: Keep children close beside working quays and on narrow streets shared with traffic. A short boat-watching pause and lunch can be enough before choosing another stop.
