Hamilton history from museum to mausoleum →
Pair the free collection with a separately reserved architectural tour on a suitable date.
Local lives, industry and the Cameronians / HAMILTON
Explore South Lanarkshire’s history through the museum’s displays, including the story of the Cameronians regiment. The collection is a useful introduction to Hamilton before looking at the surviving landmarks of the former palace landscape. Ordinary exhibitions are free, while concerts and organised events follow their own programme.

The museum and Hamilton Mausoleum have very different access arrangements. The museum’s ramps and lifts do not mean the separate mausoleum tour is wheelchair accessible.
