Museum of Cider

Explore cider as part of Herefordshire’s working history: the equipment, growing traditions and changing ways of producing and selling it. This is a museum visit in a former cider-making setting, so there is plenty to follow without treating it as a drinking session. Give the displays time and leave room for a break afterwards.

Before you go

The cellar route uses stairs and has no lift. Visitors unable to use it can ask about alternative interpretation and admission arrangements; ground-floor access does not make every part step-free.

Tickets and booking: General admission is paid at the door; shop or tearoom entry is separate and free. Check current Tuesday-to-Sunday opening, last-admission advice and holiday closures. Do not assume a tasting or production demonstration is included.
Access and getting around: Ground-floor galleries, shop and tearoom are wheelchair accessible, and a lift serves the first-floor Beam Press gallery. The cellars are stairs-only; the operator offers alternative information for visitors who cannot use them.

Visiting with children: Focus on fruit growing, old machinery and how a product was made. Children can explore the history without alcohol; check any event’s age guidance and what activities are available on the day.
