Fitz Park

Use the River Greta side of town for a relaxed park break. Lower Fitz has play equipment divided between age ranges and room for a pause after the nearby museum; Upper Fitz offers a different garden-and-recreation setting. Pick the part that fits the day rather than treating the two areas as one quick attraction to tick off.

No general admission booking. Sports activities and seasonal facilities have separate availability and possible costs; check with the listed operator.
Access and getting around
The council describes a surfaced riverside approach from Crosthwaite Road car park, but gives no comprehensive access audit for every park area or play item. Contact the council about the entrance and facilities you need.

Visiting with children
Lower Fitz’s play area has three age zones. Supervise near the river and choose equipment appropriate to your child; a short park visit can be the main family outing.
